Press a key, or several at once. Each note keeps its colour: C is orange, G is purple, on these keys and in every song, loop and game in the app. A child learns that G is purple before they learn that it is G. Note names Instrument Several fingers work at once, and a finger can slide across the keys. On a computer, click a key once, then play A to K, and W E T Y U for the dark keys. Every finger sounds its own note at once, which is what makes an iPad in landscape the best way to play it. 1. **Eight instruments** in one row of chips, piano to synth. 2. **More keys** switches from one octave of big keys to two octaves. A wrong key simply does nothing. Thirty traditional melodies, written out note by note. Play them Slow, Medium or Fast, or press Auto to hear the song played. No subscription, no account. questions ## Asked before. **Does it use the microphone?** No. There is no microphone code and no microphone permission in the app. Clap it back is played on a drum pad on the screen, not heard. **Why does it feel faster than other music apps?** The audio graph is set up for a very small buffer and the instruments are generated on the fly, so a touch turns into sound in a few milliseconds rather than after a sample loads. **Can a child who does not read music use it?** That is the design.
