One of them, Rueda, can also go online to judge a word your kid invents, and[section 3](#rueda) says exactly what it sends. ## 1\. No personal data Kid Secure Games applications do not collect any personally identifiable information or any other data from you or your device. This includes, but is not limited to: - Your name, email address or contact information. - Your device's IP address, unique identifiers or location. - Usage data, such as how you use the apps. - Photos you add to an app. They are stored on your device only. Every app except Rueda runs entirely offline, so there is no technical way for us to collect, view or store your data. Rueda sends only what section 3 describes, and none of it is about you or your kid. ## 2\. How our applications work Each Kid Secure Games application is a self-contained program that runs locally on your device. It does not require an internet connection to function and does not communicate with our servers or any third-party service, with the one exception of Rueda’s word judge below. Purchases and restores are handled by Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPad, and by Google Play on Android, each under its own privacy policy; we receive no personal information from either. ## 3\. Rueda, the one app that goes online In Rueda your kid invents kart parts by typing a word, and a judge decides how that thing behaves in the race. More than two thousand words come already judged inside the app. When your kid types a new one, the app can ask our judge server about it. - **What is sent.** The new word or short phrase, the language, and which question to ask about it (for example, how well it works against one of the game’s rivals). In Race studio, a race idea your kid types and sends with Make it, up to 280 characters. - **What is never sent.** A name, an account, a device or advertising identifier, location, voice, photos, race names or saved courses. There is no account to send. - **Personal and unsafe words are refused.** A phrase that looks like personal information, such as “my name is”, “I live in” or a phone number, or that holds a word that is never for children, is stopped on the device and never sent. The server refuses personal words and words that are not for children as well. - **Who sees it.** Our server runs on Cloudflare. It asks TypeSafe’s Jev AI model a fixed set of questions about the word and gets back numbers and choices from a closed list, never written text. TypeSafe receives the word and nothing about who typed it. - **What is kept.** The answer for each word is kept in a shared cache, together with the word, so the next player who types “cheese” gets it at once. The cache holds words and their answers only, never anything that could tell who asked. Race ideas are not kept. The server’s logs record how long a request took and whether it was answered, never the word. Cloudflare sees the IP address of each request, as any host does; we use it only to limit how often one connection can ask in a minute, and we don’t store it. - **Turning it off.** In Rueda, open Grown ups and switch off Online word and race lab. Then nothing is sent: only the words already in the game can be used, and races are built with the offline controls. Everything else plays the same. ## 4\. Children's privacy Our applications do not collect personal information from anyone, including children, and there is no account, identifier or tracker that could tie anything to a child. Rueda’s judge receives words, not people, and refuses words that look personal. This is how we keep to privacy laws that protect young users, such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). ## 5\. This website kidsecuregames.com is a static site. It runs no analytics and, until you say otherwise, sets no cookies. It stores two things in your own browser, neither of them ever sent anywhere: your colour theme choice, if you change it, and your answer to the cookie bar, so you are asked once. Clearing your browser data removes both. The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps the ordinary short-lived record of a request (IP address, time, URL, browser) that any host needs to keep a site up. ## 6\. Cookies and the pixel (this website only) **Everything in this section is about kidsecuregames.com, the marketing website you are reading now. None of it applies to the apps and games.** No Kid Secure Games app carries a tracker, analytics or third-party code of any kind, and none ever will. Sections 1 to 4 above describe the apps, and nothing here changes them. This website carries one third-party tag, and it is the only one: Meta’s pixel, so an ad for Kid Secure Games can be shown to people who have read this site. **It does not run until you press Accept on the cookie bar.** - **What it reports, if you accept.** That you opened a page: the URL, your IP address and your browser, to Meta. Page views and nothing else. Meta handles it under its own terms once it arrives. - **What it sets.** Two cookies, `_fbp` and `_fbc`, so Meta can recognise the browser it already saw. About three months. Declining later deletes them. - **What declining does.** Nothing loads, nothing is set, and the answer is kept a year so the bar stays away. The rest of the site is exactly the same either way. Change your mind any time: [reopen the cookie bar](#cookies) and pick the other answer. Accepting starts the tag on the next page; declining stops it and deletes what Meta set. ## 7\. Changes to this policy If we ever change our practices and this policy, we will update this document and provide notice within the applications. Our core principle of not collecting personal data through the apps is fundamental to how we operate, and the website asks before it sets anything. ## 8\. Terms of use The apps are provided as is, for personal, non-commercial use. Each unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase tied to the App Store or Google Play account that paid for it, and can be restored on any device signed in to that account.
