The borders are packed into the app as vectors at build time and drawn on the device, so the map works in a basement and on a plane. - hands ### A map you push with both hands Pan, pinch and double tap to fly into a country, with momentum and a soft stop at the edges. It is drawn in one pass so it stays smooth while a child throws it around. - cards ### 195 countries, all tappable Every country has a card: flag, capital, a hello you can hear, an animal, a landmark, and its size and distance next to the country you call home. - passport ### A passport that fills up Every country tapped earns a stamp, and each continent has its badge. That is the collection loop, and it costs nothing. - games ### Five games on any continent Find the country, Flag match, Animal home, Landmark guess, and Big or small. Ten rounds each, three difficulty levels. - honest ### It will not mispronounce a language Hello is spoken only where the device has a real voice for that language. The unlock adds the detail on the card, the map layers and the rest of the games. faq ## Questions about Mundo **Where does the map data come from?** Natural Earth, which is public domain. It is packed into the app at build time and credited in the parent area and in the repository. **Does it need the internet for anything?** Not for anything. There is no map service and no network code, which is exactly why the borders are shipped as vectors rather than fetched as tiles. **Why iPad only?** A world map on a phone screen is a list, not a map.
