How it works ## One chart, on the fridge and on the *phone*. You build the chart once. It prints for the fridge, and the same chart sits on your phone, where your kid ticks off today's chores. Use the paper, the phone, or both. 1. ### A ring for each kid How much of today's chart is done, at a glance. On an iPad, every kid's chores for today sit side by side on one screen, big enough to tap from across the kitchen. Open one kid and their week is laid out like the chart on the fridge, with a star where each chore got done. Propped up on the counter: a column for each kid, in their own colour. - ### The week, like the fridge Open a kid and switch to Week: a row for each chore, a column for each day and a star where it got done. Missed a tick on Tuesday? Tap the empty circle and it's caught up. - ### The chore library stays open Edit a chart with every chore right beside it. Tap one to add it, or drag it into the list exactly where it goes. Rewards are one tap away. Widgets ## Tick it from the Home *Screen*. The widget has real check boxes, so a chore gets ticked without opening the app. On the Lock Screen, a ring shows how many are done today. - Small, medium or large. The boxes tick right there, and Today always agrees. - A ring on the Lock Screen, and the chart in StandBy on a charger by the bed. - Each widget shows one kid. Tap it and their Today opens. - A new day at midnight and a new week on Monday, without opening the app. Widgets are free for your first kid. The unlock adds every other kid. Siri ## Or just ask *Siri*. Hands full of laundry? Say it out loud. Siri ticks the chore or reads out what's left, in English or Spanish, and your kid can ask too. Both are in the Shortcuts app as well, ready for a shortcut of your own. Free for your first kid, like the widgets. Write a chore onto a small NFC sticker and put it where the chore happens, like by the sink or on the laundry hamper. Your kid taps the phone on it and the chore is ticked. Needs an iPhone. Get Dressed, done! Maya's sticker lives inside the closet door. 1. ### Write it Open the chart, tap Chore tags, pick a chore and hold the top of your iPhone to a blank sticker. It takes a few seconds. 2. ### Stick it Where the chore happens: by the toothbrushes, on the laundry hamper, inside the closet door. 3. ### Tap it Your kid holds the phone to the sticker and the chore is ticked, with a big “Get Dressed, done!” and a burst of stars. - **iPhone only.** Any iPhone that runs Tareas can write and read them. iPads have no NFC reader. - **Which stickers.** Blank NFC stickers marked NTAG213, NTAG215 or NTAG216, sold in packs online. - **Whose phone.** A sticker works with the phone that wrote it, because that's where the chart lives. - **The unlock.** Writing stickers comes with the unlock. If your kid wants to, they can also tick the same chart on your phone or iPad and hear each chore read out loud. **Can I try it first?** Yes. Tareas is free to download, and the free version covers every kid, every chart, Today and three prints. **What are chore stickers?** Small blank NFC stickers, sold in packs online (look for NTAG213, NTAG215 or NTAG216). You write a chore onto one from its chart in Tareas and stick it where the chore happens. When your kid taps the top of the phone on it, the chore is ticked. Any iPhone that runs Tareas can write and read them. A sticker works with the phone that wrote it, because that's where the chart lives. **Does it work on iPad?** Yes, and it's made for it. Every kid's day sits on one screen, each kid's week is laid out like the paper chart, and when you edit a chart the whole chore library stays open beside it. The widgets, Siri and printing work there too. The one thing an iPad can't do is chore stickers, because iPads have no NFC reader. Each iPhone or iPad keeps its own charts. **I already have charts in Tareas. Will I lose them?** No. When Tareas updates, it brings over your charts, your own chores and rewards, and your paper size.
