Exhibit 1 · true scale ## Real size, never a toy The subject drops in at its true height, facing the child. Pinch to resize is off on purpose, because the size is the point. A Toy size switch exists for small rooms. Scroll, and the camera climbs the tape. Eight of the thirty three, drawn from their own parts on one scale. In the app that figure is the child's own height, set on their profile. Some things no room holds. The blue whale is 25 m long and the brachiosaurus 13 m tall, so they start at toy size, one tenth, and the Moon, Earth and Saturn are labelled scale models. Exhibit 2 · in the room ## Tap the floor The subject arrives where you tap, at the size it really is from there. Near, it towers. Far across the room, it fits. Try it: pick one, tap anywhere on the floor. Fact: An elephant uses its trunk like a hand to pick up food. The elephant is standing on the floor at real size. 1. ### Find a flat floor Good light and a clear patch of floor help the phone see where the ground is. Then tap the floor. 2. ### It drops in, facing the child Walk around it and stand beside it. Size puts the child's own figure next to it; Toy size shrinks it to a tenth, in place, for a small room. 3. ### Three facts, read aloud Tap Facts and the app speaks the next one and shows it big. Build · 4 pieces free, 20 unlocked ### Roll a ball down a real ramp Place a ramp, a box and a ball on the actual floor and let the physics run, against the room's own geometry on devices that have LiDAR. Pick a piece, then tap the floor. On a device with LiDAR the ball also meets the room's own shape; without it, an invisible floor at the first tap catches it. Exhibit 5 · how it is made ## Parts, not files No 3D model ships with Explora. Every subject is a short list of boxes, balls, cylinders and cones in metres, built at the right size the moment it appears. The card in the collection is drawn from the same list, so what the child sees on the card is what lands on the floor. Questions ## Before you ask **Which iPhones and iPads work?** Any device with ARKit, which in practice means A12 and newer. LiDAR gives better occlusion and measuring but is not required. **How big is the download if it holds 33 subjects?** Small. Nothing is a 3D model file: every subject is a short list of primitive shapes in metres that the app builds at the right size when it appears. **Are photos saved anywhere I do not control?** No. The photo button saves a screenshot to your own Photos library and that is the only place an image ever goes.
